Restore history with the authentic British Army shade of 1939–1942. King's Army WWII Khaki Green No. 3 is the definitive "Service Colour" for early-war Matilda II, Churchill, and Crusader tanks.

Engineered for full-scale vehicle restorations, Amortek builds, and high-fidelity modelling, this premium high-solids industrial enamel delivers a rugged, non-reflective matte finish. Designed to thrive in the toughest environments, our formula offers outstanding early water resistance and the unique ability to cure in inclement weather.

Choose Your Pack Size:

  • 1-Can Individual Pack: Perfect for detailing and smaller-scale models.

  • 2-Can Essential Pack: Ideal for mid-sized projects and tactical gear.

  • 3-Can Project Pack: The best value for large-scale builds and vehicle sections.

  • 4-Can Restoration Pack: The professional choice for vehicle sections and complete builds.

Key Features:

  • Historically Accurate: Meticulously colour-matched to the early-war British military palette.

  • Industrial Strength: Anti-corrosive, UV-stable, and weatherproof—designed to endure extreme outdoor conditions.

  • No Forced Curing: High-solids formula removes the need for heated curing; air-dries to a professional-grade hardness.

  • Spray-Gun Results: Featuring our unique fan-spray actuator for a professional, even finish without the need for a compressor.

Note: For surfaces in constant contact with fuel, please use our Military 1K Cellulose Paint range.

King's Army Industrial Paint: Application Guide

1. Surface Preparation
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, and rust. For best results, degrease the area thoroughly using a panel wipe or solvent cleaner.

2. Priming Requirements
King’s Army Industrial Paint is self-priming and designed for direct application to most surfaces including wood and previously painted items. However, for non-ferrous metals such as Aluminium, Brass, Copper, or Galvanised Steel, we strongly recommend the use of our Etch Primer to ensure a permanent bond. While a primer is not strictly necessary for every job, its use will always produce a more durable, professional finish.

3. Preparation & Shaking
Shake the can vigorously for at least 2 minutes after the mixing ball begins to rattle. This is critical for industrial Alkyd paints to ensure the high-solid matte pigments are fully agitated for a consistent finish.

4. Application Technique
Hold the can 20–30cm from the surface. Apply 2–3 thin, even coats rather than one heavy coat. The unique fan-spray actuator provides a professional spray-gun pattern; use a 50% overlap on each pass for even coverage.

5. Drying Times

Flash Off: 10–15 minutes between coats.

Weatherproof: Structure can be exposed to rain/harsh conditions after 30 minutes.

Touch Dry: 20–30 minutes.

Hard Dry: 24 hours (full cure).

6. After Use
To prevent nozzle blockages, turn the can upside down and spray for 2 seconds until only clear gas emerges. This clears the valve for future use.
