Railway Colours

Monstercolors' range of Railway colours is something we have been asked about producing for some time, and now we are happy to provide you with a range we are sure you will be happy with. Monstercolors Railway enamel paint is much like our military paint range, Our colours are formulated to the highest degree of accuracy to the original colours used on our railways dating back to pre 1928 to the modern era, we are satisfied that after contacting various rail transport museums, train and model railway enthusiasts, we have formulated a Railmatch for all of our colours in the range.

Our railway colours are formulated using the highest grade of pigment available producing a formulation which is both hard wearing and fast drying. We feel our formula is perfect not only for the scale model world but also the more industrial side of this field in larger sized locos. Railway Paint is a unique single coat paint that contains up to 20% more paint solids that give the paint more body than conventional paints. We offer our railway colours in a matt finish in both 400ml aerosol, 250ml and 1 litre tins for brush application. We understand that in the railway world matt finish is not the norm however to compensate for this we offer a railway clear topcoat lacquer available in ,satin, gloss, and high gloss enamel which will take your matt finish to your required level and by doing so adds another level of protection to your project, and allows you flexibility on the finish you require.

Railway paint offers outstanding early water resistance, allowing items to be painted and cured outside in inclement conditions. It can be applied directly over bare metal and most other surfaces and allows painted structures to be exposed to extreme weather conditions within half an hour, without rain spotting, surface blooming or any loss of film performance. Monstercolors Railway Paint is a formulation that effectively changes the rule of industrial finishing, since it dispenses with the need for heated or forced curing.

Each 400ml aerosol comes with a unique fan spray cap actuator, which replicates a spray gun for that professional finish, we also offer a finer nozzle  for more detailed spraying. ( you must request a finer nozzle at checkout). Our 400ml aerosol will cover around a 1-2 square metre surface, Colour swatches are only a representation and may vary depending on your device settings. 

We will also be offering a mixing option that will enable our customers to send us colour codes not available in our range that will be available in both spray and brush on variants.
