Authentic Federal Standard Marine Green. Specifically engineered to match the iconic "Service Colour" used on Patrol Boat, River (PBR) units and naval equipment during the Vietnam War.

Trusted by Amortek builders and featured on Tony’s Workshop, this King's Army Industrial formula is designed for high-fidelity naval models, full-scale boat restorations, and tactical gear. This is a high-solids, semi-gloss enamel that effectively changes the rules of finishing—offering outstanding early water resistance and the unique ability to dry in inclement weather.

Key Features:

  • Exact FS Colour Match: A faithful reproduction of the Vietnam-era naval palette for historical accuracy.

  • Industrial Marine Grade: Inspired by heavy-duty maritime finishing systems; provides a rugged, weather-resistant barrier.

  • Direct-to-Substrate: Excellent adhesion to bare metal, wood, and most plastics with built-in anti-corrosive pigments.

  • No Heat Required: High-solids formula dispenses with the need for heated or forced curing—it air-dries to a professional-grade hardness.

  • Precision Fan Spray: Equipped with our unique fan-spray actuator, delivering the smooth, wide-mist finish of a professional spray gun.

Perfect For:

  • Naval & RC Models: The definitive choice for 1/6 scale and diorama PBR projects.

  • Vehicle Restoration: Period-correct finishing for Vietnam-era trucks, jeeps, and maritime equipment.

  • Tactical Gear: A durable, semi-gloss alternative for Airsoft and Paintball hardware.

Note: For surfaces in constant contact with fuel, please use our Military 1K Cellulose Paint range.

King's Army Industrial Paint: Application Guide

1. Surface Preparation
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, and rust. For best results, degrease the area thoroughly using a panel wipe or solvent cleaner.

2. Priming Requirements
King’s Army Industrial Paint is self-priming and designed for direct application to most surfaces including wood and previously painted items. However, for non-ferrous metals such as Aluminium, Brass, Copper, or Galvanised Steel, we strongly recommend the use of our Etch Primer to ensure a permanent bond. While a primer is not strictly necessary for every job, its use will always produce a more durable, professional finish.

3. Preparation & Shaking
Shake the can vigorously for at least 2 minutes after the mixing ball begins to rattle. This is critical for industrial Alkyd paints to ensure the high-solid matte pigments are fully agitated for a consistent finish.

4. Application Technique
Hold the can 20–30cm from the surface. Apply 2–3 thin, even coats rather than one heavy coat. The unique fan-spray actuator provides a professional spray-gun pattern; use a 50% overlap on each pass for even coverage.

5. Drying Times

Flash Off: 10–15 minutes between coats.

Weatherproof: Structure can be exposed to rain/harsh conditions after 30 minutes.

Touch Dry: 20–30 minutes.

Hard Dry: 24 hours (full cure).

6. After Use
To prevent nozzle blockages, turn the can upside down and spray for 2 seconds until only clear gas emerges. This clears the valve for future use.
